 Delhi HC grants bail to Gulfam who was accused of vandalizing Shiv Temple

The Karkardooma Court (Delhi) on Wednesday 14th October with the Additional Justice Vinod Yadav granted bail to a man named Gulfam, who was arrested for allegedly Vandalizing a Shiva temple, situated at Gali No.5, Moonga Nagar during the Delhi riots (on Feb 2020), after noting that besides his disclosure statement prima facie that there was nothing on record to connect him with the commission of the crime. At the moment of granting him bail Justice Vinod stated that “the applicant cannot be made to incarcerate in the jail for infinity merely on account of the fact that other persons who were part of the riotous mob have to be identified and arrested in the matter” and further stated that
1. He shall not tamper with the evidence or influence any witness in any manner.
2. He shall maintain peace and harmony in the locality
3. He shall appear before the court on each and every date of hearing to attend the proceedings in accordance with the terms of bail bond, which would be executed by him.
