Will Allopathy or Ayurveda work for COVID-19 treatment: Karnataka HC to Writ court

The Karnataka HC on Thursday observed while hearing a PIL that was filed by two qualified practitioners of Ayurveda. The question raised was will Allopathy or Ayurveda work for COVID-19 treatment. Where the plea states that a patient tested positive and is firm believer of the Ayurveda system is not permitted to take Ayurveda drugs and is admitted in a government organisation and forced against his will to get treatment of Allopathy drugs only.
The court was informed that the outset the petitioners are not saying that the Ayurveda is a cure for COVID-19, what they are saying is they can rely upon as generally Ayurveda boosts immunity. To support their petition they also stated the fundamental right to choose medical treatment.
The Advocate for the petitioners sought one week time, where the court allowed and now will hear the matter on 27th September, 2020.
