Address non-payment of pension crisis endured by aged citizens: Karnataka HC recommends state government.

On 16th October 2020, the Karnataka High Court authorised the state government to promptly glance into the atrocities lifted about senior citizens not being paid pension payments.
A division bench consisting of Chief Justice Abhay Oka and Justice Ashok S Kinagi granted note to the respondents while listening to a plea documented by an organisation Akhila Karnataka Vyyovrudhara Okkoota (Aikyata).
On behalf of the petitioner advocate Clifton, D Rosario appeared and pleaded that since January 2020 the pension payments of the senior dwellers are sporadic and remain overdue for most of the specimens. As they are not acquiring the amounts, they do not even afford to obtain medication for their survival.
On June 4th 2020 the appeal states to address their plight, representations were fulfilled by the pleader to the assistant treasurer of the government of Karnataka. In that representation, they asserted the complications survived by the senior citizens.
The hearing of this case will take place on 19th November, 2020.
