Anticipatory bail granted to three accused in cow smuggling case.

On December 7th Karnataka High Court granted anticipatory bails to 3 people accused of smuggling cows and attacking police when their vehicle was tried to be stopped. Justice B.A. Patil allowed the application filed by Safwan, Ahmed, and Iqbal Hussain. The Court grants them anticipatory bail one each of them executing a personal bound for the sum of rupees 2 lakh.
The police registered a case under section 353, 307, 279, 379 r/Section 34 of Indian Penal Code and section 4, 8 9 11 of Karnataka prevention of cow slaughter a cattle prevention act 1964.
Advocate Dhananjay Kumar appearing for the petitioner argued that they are innocent and they were not present at the time of the alleged accident. The prosecution opposed the petition by saving the petitioner accused number 2 to 4 along with accused number 1 having involved in a serious offense.
