Approval Given By Delhi Government to Proceed Umar Khalid Case under UAPA

Delhi government allowed proceeding Umar Khalid case, a former JNU student leader under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. They put him behind bars on September 13/14 under the UAPA by Crime Branch.
Police reported that they attached Delhi riots to the anti CAA protests lead by Khalid. The court shall not take cognisance of any offence as per section 45 of UAPA. For farther proceedings State government authorisation is required to take steps under section 16(Terrorist Act), Section 17 (raising funds for the terrorist act) & section 18 (for conspiracy) & approval from central government is needed and to take a step under section 13 for forbidden activities.
The reports asserted that sanction from the Delhi government & the Ministry of Home Affairs is obtained.
