Arnab Goswami’s interim bail application order yet to be pronounced says Bombay HC.
8th November, 2020
The Bombay high court heard the interim bail application of Arnab Goswami and it will pronounce the order on 9 November 2020. When senior advocate Harish Salve and Abad Ponda asked an ad interim bail for Arnab Goswami, the court refused to grant the bail. The court added that in pending cases such as these, the petitioner could not ask for bail, and even if such an application made must be heard within 4 days by the concerned court.
Arnab Goswami was arrested in a suicide abetment case by the Raigad police, wherein an interior designer Anvay Naik died due to suicide because of the non-payment of his dues by Arnab Goswami and other accused.
Further Arnab Goswami challenged his arrest and detention and filed a habeas corpus petition, which was questioned, by the court about its maintainability, which was further answered by the lawyer of the petitioner that his arrest and detention were politically motivated and were not in good faith and for which he must be provided with the interim bail.
