Bail granted to the man accused of impregnating minor girl with condition to marry her when she attains majority: Madras HC

Last week bench of Madras High Court stated that if man, who is accused of impregnating minor girl, attains bail on the state that he will marry a girl after reaching the adulthood.
Hearing the bench of Justice G.K. Ilanthiraiyan did the case of the petitioner, was accused the man and confinement to judicial custody under POSCO Act section 5(l), 5(n), 5(j), 5(u) & 6.
Court also reported that a man should lift the marriage certificate on or before 30.10.2021 and if is unable to do that than the respondent police will proceed further according to the law.
According to the court’s order, man will attain bail when the parents of the sole accused & respondent have to file a joint affidavit receipt of a bond of Rs. 10, 000 with sureties and if accused will not do, will register a new FIR under section 229A IPC.
