High court of Kerala acquitted four accused for killing CPI (M) Sympathizers.

In this case, the prosecution had asserted that the four accused brought up a criminal conspiracy in the evening of 29-10-2007 at BJP office near Nilampathi Bridge at Kadukkamkunnam. They had been charged for killing Raveendran and Gopalkrishnan, who are supposed to be CPI (M) supporters.
One of the main arguments brought up for this situation was about the thumb impression of the deceased Raveendran said to have been appended on FIS. As per them, there is a slash twisted on the left thumb according to investigation and after the death report thus it was very incomprehensible for him to put thumb impact on FIS, where the investigation was controlled by higher officials.
The court observed that prosecution failed to prove this case beyond reasonable doubt and accused are entitled to get benefit of doubt. And court acquitted four accused.
