Lawyers expressed no objection when CJI Bobde said that his son appeared for SPG subsidiary: Tata sons v. Cyrus Mistry.

The lawyers expressed no objection for CJI Bobde being a part of the bench when he said that his son appeared for SPG subsidiary, while justice Bobde was hearing the case, Tata sons v. Cyrus Mistry along with the bench.

The bench was hearing the case in the matter where Cyrus Mistry from SPG (Shapoorji Pallonji Group) was made executive chairman of the company by the NCLAT.

Against this the Tata sons filed a petition asking NCLAT’s jurisdiction and have decided to dismiss the SPG itself, the defendant have stated that the Tata sons are behaving in a prejudiced & oppressive manner.
