Plea dismissed by Karnataka HC against online exams proposed by the University of Agricultural Sciences.

On Thursday (03 September), The Karnataka High Court has allowed the University of Agricultural Sciences to conduct its semester examinations for Degree and Diploma courses in B.Sc. (Agriculture), via the online mode, due to the current COVID-19 pandemic.
In HC, the division bench of Justice B V Nagarathna and Justice Ravi V Hosmani refused to entertain a PIL filed by the University students--Sadanand and others - against the online exam. The Senior Advocate Prof. Ravivarma Kumar and Advocate Sharada Bai for the petitioners had argued “No doubt, COVID-19 pandemic is a factor which has to be taken into account while conducting the examination, but the same would not be a reason to change the entire format of the examination."
