Republic TV CEO Vikas Khanchandani has been remanded to Mumbai police’s custody for 2 days and no bail is granted to him: Fake TRP case.

The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court Mumbai denied anticipatory bail to the Republic TV CEO Vikas Khanchandani and remanded him for two days of police custody in the fake TRP scam case.
The case came in when Hansa research group along with BARC filed FIR against the malpractices of obtaining fake TRP, the matter was transferred to the crime branch unit, both the defendant who was earlier interrogated by the police said that he was harassed & pressurized in the “semi custodial interrogation” to make false statements against the news channel.
Earlier the defendant also added that the Mumbai police’s intention was malice in the case and demanded bail relying on the case of Priya Mukherjee (one of his colleague) who was granted bail by this sessions court.
