SC modified Kerala HC judgement stating: Homeopathy can be used in preventing & mitigating COVID-19 as per Ayush ministry guidelines.

The supreme court observed that homeopathy medicine is contemplated to be used as preventive and mitigating medicines in COVID-19, while modifying the observations of Kerala high court.

The court said that it can’t be claimed to cure the disease.

The Kerala high court allowed the prescription of these medicines only as immunity boosters. However, a plea was filed in the supreme court against the order of the high court that the orders will affect the homeopathic doctors. The court decided that the high court should have observed the guideline carefully given by the Ayush ministry which do not claim anything about the medicines other than as preventive measures
