



Supreme Court ordered Airtel, Vodafone to reveal ‘segmented offers’ to TRAI

Supreme Court instructs Airtel, Vodafone to articulate about the ‘segmented offers’ given via Telecom Regulatory Authority of India. But this will be on TRAI's shoulders to hold these statistics confidential.
The Bench comprises Chief Justice S.A.Bobde, A.S.Bopanna and V. Ramasubramian said that permitting of any utility registered by TRAI in a pending appeal against an order given utilising Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal.
The TRAI prescribe that Telecom Service Providers are below a constitutional responsibility to relieve tariffs in a glass bowl (transparency) and without prejudiced approach and listed all to the authorities. Segmented presents are afforded or reductions for who are swapped to other telecoms.
