US Court on President Trump’s ban on Chinese app TIKTOK

On Sunday(27 September) Court of the United States stayed the ban imposed by President Donald Trump on the downloads of the video-sharing app 'TikTok', Judge Carl Nichols of the US District Court for the District of Columbia issued the injunction on Sunday evening having held a 90-minute hearing earlier that day.
The video-sharing app has faced being removed from Apple's App Store and Android's Google Play marketplace at midnight local time in Washington DC. TikTok's lawyer John Hall argued that the ban was "punitive" and a violation of free speech, reported Agence France-Presse.
