About the organisation: CARCIL (Center for Advanced Research in Corporate and Insolvency Laws)is a self-financed centre with the support of the Government, Regulators, Standard setters, and Professional and Industry bodies.

About the internship/ Job:

  • To acquaint interested and willing corporate law students with company legislation, bankruptcy and insolvency laws, corporate governance, securities legislation, and their applications.

  • To conduct research in the field of corporate law.

  • Conduct exploratory and doctrinal research in the areas of insolvency, bankruptcy, and securities law.

  • Interact with legal academics, policy practitioners, and corporate law experts.


  • Only Indian nationals are eligible.

  • Students pursuing a 3 year/5 year undergraduate law course or a 1 year/2 year LL.M. course from recognised institutions and universities are eligible for the internship.

  • Students must have a strong interest in commercial law and the many facets of this area of law.

  • Students must have a prudent and extensive understanding of Commercial Laws, Bankruptcy and Insolvency Laws, and Corporate Governance.

  • Students must be well-versed in the various types and procedures of research.

Time period: 1 month.

Additional Details:

  • 5 Interns Required.

  • The internship is typically for one month, beginning on the first working day of the month. Applicants who wish to pursue an Internship for two to three calendar months may apply with the recommendation of the respective universities/colleges/institutions for the period applied for.

  • On the first day of the internship, the esteemed Director and Co-Director of CARCIL, CNLU, Patna will conduct a brief induction programme on the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013, Bankruptcy and Insolvency Laws, and Research Methodology.

  • The internship will be conducted both offline and online (as decided by CARCIL).

  • Selected Interns will be assigned specific research projects in various areas of Commercial.

  • Selected Interns will be assigned specific research projects relating to various areas of Commercial Law.

  • Interns are expected to maintain discipline, punctuality, and integrity; failure to do so will result in the termination of the internship.

  • Because the internship is a full-time programme, interns must adhere to the University's working hours.

  • The internship may be terminated at any time if the intern's performance is deemed unsatisfactory or if the intern is absent without the authorization of CARCIL's concerned authorities.

  • Interns will receive certificates upon successful completion of their internship.
